Our team is comprised of genuinely gifted coaches
Her cricketing career began, as so many do, watching and playing with family and friends. Having attended an introductory course aged 8, Kira was encouraged by Ebony Rainford-Brent to trial for Surrey County U11’s Girls team. This access to quality coaching allowed her passion to develop into a playing career and she is looking to similarly inspire the next generation of cricketers.
Alongside her own career Kira has been coaching for Dulwich Cricket Club since she was 17 and holds the ECB Level Two Qualification. Now, as Head of Women’s and Girls Cricket at the club and co-founder of NLCA, Kira aims to provide greater access to quality coaching for girls.
His specialism lies in coaching for performance and he ensures all sessions have equal demands of challenge and fun to create an environment where each player feels supported, included and seen.
Remi still plays cricket now in the Kent League but enjoys the coaching life far more.
"I enjoy coaching at all levels still as it presents different challenges and helps me build upon my coaching toolkit and resource. I believe strongly that coaching is personal and not all players learn the same, therefore it's integral that I get to know them and allow players to find their own solution via my support. I've worked with several players, including professionals, and the same mantra applies: one size does not fit all! Each journey is individual and I really look forward to working with your girls and helping them on the way”
At the same time as developing through school, Sebastián was a member of his local club, Dulwich Cricket Club. Having played for a number of teams, including the Development and Academy squads, Sebastián now fulfills a mentorship role, nurturing the young cricketers, preparing them for the adult game. Additionally, he oversees the All Stars coaching at the
club where it is Sebastián’s passion to encourage more children from a wider variety of backgrounds to join the cricketing family.
“Alongside my Level 2 Qualification, I have attended supplementary courses in disability awareness as well as specialist fielding & wicket-keeping, and I look forward to helping develop grass roots cricket by providing our community with greater opportunities to reach higher standards.”
It is this desire to progress the game for all that led Sebastian to co-found Next Level Cricket Academy.
Lottie grew up around cricket with her dad, starting at Old Elthamians before progressing to Kent, for whom she represented from 2012 to 2016. Lottie still loves to play regular cricket as 1st XI Women’s captain at Hayes CC and for the 40-club, where she became the first female player to get a 5fer!
Lottie is passionate about changing the game for the future generation of girls by creating an environment in which they feel comfortable to be active and competitive amongst themselves. By removing the stigma around girls playing competitive cricket she hopes to inspire them to take up the game she loves.
